Wilfried was German (from an industrial town in the Northern Rhine, Wesphalia area called Drinslaken). He lived in Bezier with his french girlfriend, Claudine. I got on really well with both Wilfried and Claudine. He was studying economics and accountancy; Claudine was a musician. We became good friends quickly and they invited me to stay a few days.
